Kansas City WPH/Ektelon Fireball 3-Wall Classic

Sunday, July 11th, 2010-The KCAC committee members tirelessly cleaned off the three wall courts and dried off the facility after tornado warnings, flash floods and severe storms crashed through the Kansas City, Kansas, area during this historical 3 wall pro event.
The WPH/Ektelon KCAC Fireball 3-Wall Classic kicked off on Thursday, July 8th, with the same weather as it ended, but so did Luis Moreno. The young Tucson, AZ, native swept through the draw defeating area legend, Kevin Pettus, Dave Fink, Dave Chapman and Emmett Peixoto (current 3-wall national champ) in one of his biggest wins to date. Moreno won $4,000 in the process and earns himself a prestigious WPH Yellow Jersey (to be awarded at a later ceremony).
"Many thanks to the KCAC for putting on a spectacular event," claimed WPH President, Fred Lewis. "They [KCAC committee] do everything first class. With the inclement weather they were out there with propane heaters and blowers in an effort to play the finals outdoors. This is a one of-a-kind venue that should be a must for people to attend at least once in their lifetime."
Next up for Moreno (and the WPH) will be Flagstaff, AZ, where Luis will vie for top dollars as the #1 seed.
